Lena matriculated through the school of fandom beginning at age 16. She’s majored in such diverse subjects as Harry Potter, Supernatural, Power Rangers, Smallville, Heroes, Doctor Who, The Beatles, The Monkees, Hollywood classics, and Chris Evans. She’s still taking classes and hopes to never stop.
Lena graduated from Boston University with an MFA in Film and Television Studies and got her Bachelor’s in Creative Writing from Beloit College. Along with scholarly writing on Doctor Who, she has contributed to Fansplaining, Polygon, Nerdist, and SYFY Wire. She has previously marketed for film festivals and theater programs, and currently you can find her programming local film in the Washington, DC area.
Her radio play almost got the BBC’s attention in 2013.
